Let me say this wasn't because I was into co-sleeping or anything of the sort. It started innocently enough, I loved rocking my only baby to sleep...not realizing that was all that he knew. As he got older, more vocal and able to walk around...all hell broke loose.

You can't really reason with a 2 year old who doesn't know how to fall alseep alone.

We had a daughter who I didn't make the same mistake with. She is and has always been an awesome sleeper, slept in her own bed since day one. They are only 2 1/2 years apart. So yes, I had a baby who would sleep by herself while her 2 1/2 year old brother tortured us.

It took some tough love and one of the most horrible weeks of my life but we were able to teach him how to soothe himself. This is always my advise to people I know having children.

Learning to fall asleep is just like any other life skill. Your child needs to learn this to be a happy healthy individual. You're doing a great job.Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01441140736851327589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4064423391902022487.post-19153256729046977102009-08-07T10:13:13.023-07:002009-08-07T10:13:13.023-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01441140736851327589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4064423391902022487.post-61256292064510811272009-08-07T09:32:27.892-07:002009-08-07T09:32:27.892-07:00I'm a huge fan of post it notes - they often e...I'm a huge fan of post it notes - they often end up on the front of a kitchen cupboard that is right above the counter where we leave keys, sunglasses, etc. I also leave myself voicemail messages on a fairly regular basis... Mr. Cheeks laughs because I always say "Hi, it's me" and "Bye" when leaving messages for myself. *shrugs*

I love reading blogs from new moms. Hopefully, I'll be one in the next year, so I'm soaking up all of the info that I can. Your baby boy is adorable... hope your butt feels better soon!Cheekshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05925057024873516513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4064423391902022487.post-81461058183965687682009-08-07T08:29:56.525-07:002009-08-07T08:29:56.525-07:00Congrats on 3 meals a day and Charlie almost sleep...Congrats on 3 meals a day and Charlie almost sleeping through the night. I cracked up at your front door picture because ours sometimes looks like that too. H goes to bed and wake up before me so when I forget to tell him something before he goes to sleep, I stick a post it note up for him. :)mjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06768141080818250273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4064423391902022487.post-37700840768302563242009-08-07T07:03:00.999-07:002009-08-07T07:03:00.999-07:00i've had blogger dreams about you and Amorous ...i've had blogger dreams about you and Amorous Rocker. nothing too weird thoughphairheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13613553152292506932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4064423391902022487.post-47689422821247068912009-08-06T22:12:07.230-07:002009-08-06T22:12:07.230-07:00I hope Charlie will sleep through the night soon. ...I hope Charlie will sleep through the night soon.
