I found out that Portland is having their annual literary festival called Wordstock during the second weekend of November. I so wish we could go, because it sounds like an absolute blast. I really want a Red Book, because I am just so interested to know what's inside. Alas, I think you actually have to be in the vicinity of Portland to find one. I like the idea of just finding this treasure...or the treasure finding you.
I am a little sad that we won't be able to attend this event. But in about 2 years we might be able to - if everything goes as planned.
Here are some photos of the Portland area. It is a crazy beautiful place. I am excited to call it my future home.

I've been wanting to visit Portland for a while now. And the real estate prices there are soooo much better than CA, it's very tempting to pack up and go!
You are totally Portland material.
It looks beautiful.
Wordstock? Awesome.
At least you know where your heart is. I, however, am still searching for my next home base.
Portland does indeed rock out. I love it there!
